Blue Flag 2021 confirmed again this year for the beaches of Marina and Le Gorette

Once again this year the Municipality of Cecina obtained the prestigious recognition of the Blue Flag for the beaches of Marina di Cecina and Gorette, synonymous with clean water and environmental quality.

This is an important recognition that our beaches have been receiving for many years now, a reason for satisfaction and not to be taken for granted. Blue Flag is in fact an international level environmental quality certification that is assigned by the NGO Fee to beaches that meet very strict criteria of sustainable land management, relating to four thematic areas: quality of bathing water, information and environmental education, management environmental, services and safety.

Satisfaction was expressed by the deputy mayor and councilor for tourism Antonio Giuseppe Costantino: “This is an added value for our territory. Unfortunately this year too, given the persistence of the health emergency, the handover ceremony was not held in attendance. However, the main objective of the Administration is to ensure the safety and comfort of tourists who choose our coast and our beaches. A goal that we have been working towards for some time through a shared path also with the other Municipalities of the Etruscan Coast Area and with trade associations “.

“In the coming weeks – he concluded – before the beginning of the bathing season we will deliver to all the bathing establishments in the area the material to be used such as the blue flags and information panels for tourists”.
