Spighe verdi, the recognition dedicated to rural areas was also reconfirmed for 2021
The commitment of the municipal administration is reconfirmed for the protection and enhancement of rural areas, in addition to the coastal environment: once again this year, in fact, the Municipality of Bibbona has obtained the recognition of the ‘Green Ears’ flag, dedicated to the territories rural areas and at a level of environmental and tourist development that meets true quality parameters.
All in the “awareness that the environment defends itself through programming capable of expressing the value – underlines the Mayor, Massimo Fedeli – of the territories, conserving and protecting typical products and the architectural treasures of rural municipalities”.
The delivery this morning, via videoconference, by FEE Italia – Foundation for Environmental Education and Confagricoltura, partner of the program, specifying that the Green Ears have been assigned in 14 Italian regions with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of the environment in the Municipalities rural, through a voluntary certification system, tested in over 30 years of international experience with the ‘Blue Flag’ program.
“We are proud and proud that for the third consecutive year our Municipality has received a similar recognition, synonymous with the commitment that our farms instill in the daily work of promoting the area and respecting the environment”.
With its 7 flags, Tuscany ranks third in the ranking, after Piedmont and the Marches. The Spighe Verdi certify the commitment of the municipalities to direct territorial management policies towards sustainability based on a long list of indicators evaluated by the Fee with a working group which includes the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, the Ministry of Tourism, ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) and Confagricoltura.
As many as 67 indicators, ranging from environmental education to biodiversity protection, and then soil protection, air quality but also water, the presence of typical products and in general the proposed tourist accommodation.
